Jamey Caruthers is Vice-President, Demand Reduction and Policy and Texas Executive Director at Street Grace. A passionate and committed advocate, Jamey ensures that Street Grace’s mission of preventing trafficking, protecting the vulnerable, and pursuing and bringing both traffickers and buyers to justice is represented and reflected in federal, state, and local laws.

Jamey has drafted and helped pass nearly thirty pieces of state anti-human trafficking legislation in Texas, Georgia and Tennessee. Jamey has also consults on anti-trafficking legislation in numerous states and on federal legislation.

Jamey has authored and presented a variety of continuing legal education course on trafficking and related issues, which he has delivered to national law firms as well as state and national NGOs and associations. He has co-authored many publications on the issue of trafficking, including articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Jamey is a proud graduate of the University of Houston (BA) and the University of Houston Law Center (JD). He, his wife Lisa, and two children live in Sugar Land, Texas.
