Sonali Kovoor-Misra

Sonali is from Golden, Colorado and is a current MSW student at Columbia University's School of Social Work where she is studying to become a LCSW to work with people who have experienced trauma. During her first year, she became a clinical intern at Sanctuary for Families EMPOWER Center and JET Program where she worked with adult and youth survivors of Commercial Sexual Exploitation. It was here that she learned about the harmful effects of the sex trade, and began her advocacy journey. Sonali is interested in working on both a clinical and macro level in order to understand CSE and create meaningful and lasting change.
