Gregory Bott

Dr. Gregory J. Bott, CISSP, GCIA, GCFE, GMON, GPEN, is an Endowed MIS Fellow at the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama. He is also a Cyber Nexus Distinguished Fellow, and his research focuses on cybersecurity, human trafficking, and information privacy. Dr. Bott and his colleagues work closely with Homeland Security (HSI), the FBI, the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force, and other law enforcement agencies in Alabama, Colorado, Texas, and New York. He is a certified digital forensic examiner and expert witness in civil and criminal cases. He has published in the Productions and Operations Management Journal, the Journal for Management Information Systems, Computers and Security, Information Systems Journal, the Journal of Interactive Marketing, and Communications of the AIS, and several academic conferences. Previously, Bott worked in technology for PwC and Microsoft Corporation and was Chief Technology Officer for three software companies.
