Jennifer Gentile Long (MGA, JD) is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of AEquitas, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the prosecution of sexual violence, gender-based violence, and human trafficking. A nationally recognized expert, she works with prosecutors, policymakers, and allied professionals across the U.S. and internationally to advance research-informed practices.
Jennifer began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, prosecuting cases involving adult and child abuse in the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit. She later served as an advocate for victims of domestic violence and child abuse in Bermuda and Philadelphia.
She went on to serve as Senior Attorney and Director of the National Center for the Prosecution of Violence Against Women at the American Prosecutors Research Institute, where she led efforts to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and improve prosecution strategies nationwide.
In addition to her leadership at AEquitas, Jennifer serves on the Advisory Committee of the American Law Institute, the Editorial Board of the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Reports, and as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center.
She holds a BA from Lehigh University and a JD and MGA from the University of Pennsylvania, and is admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars.
