Karrie Delaney is a Virginia Delegate and community leader dedicated to strengthening Northern Virginia through economic growth, quality education, and accessible healthcare. A longtime advocate for vulnerable communities, her work spans public service, policy, and community engagement.
After college, Karrie worked at a group home for foster youth and later volunteered as a sexual assault counselor, going on to serve as Board President of her county’s sexual assault crisis organization. She then became Communications Director at Shared Hope International, where she worked with communities and global partners to combat sex trafficking and support survivors.
Following her transition into local leadership, Karrie served as Chair of the Fairfax County Citizen Corps Council and Chair of the Fairfax County Library Board of Trustees.
Elected in 2017 after flipping her district, Karrie has advanced bipartisan legislation to protect survivors of abuse, combat human trafficking, expand access to healthcare, cap insulin costs, and end surprise medical billing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked to deliver critical relief to families across the Commonwealth.
