Marie Striebel is a survivor of child sex trafficking, and the Founder of Bondage2Freedom Inc.,
which includes The Empowered Child Alliance (TECA). Bondage2Freedom's mission operates
full-circle: TECA advances child-abuse prevention empowering children with the knowledge,
understanding, and language needed to protect themselves and report abuse. Bondage2Freedom's
survivor programs confront the root cause: the cycle of unhealed trauma that fuels demand.
Abandoned at 13, Marie was trafficked from the age of 13 to 16 by a trusted family friend, an
experience that deeply fuels her advocacy. She previously spent years as a Guardian ad Litem
appointed by a court to investigate and advocate for the "best interests" of a vulnerable child
during legal proceedings. Working directly with youth in foster care gave her crucial, firsthand
insight into how systemic gaps and child welfare involvement leave young people uniquely
vulnerable to exploitation. Marie also serves as a STAND Fellow with World Without Exploitation.
