Professor Graw Leary is a Professor of Law at The Catholic University of America. She also is also the former Chair of the Victims Advisory Group for the United States Sentencing Commission and the former Co-Chair of the Victims Subcommittee for the Criminal Justice Section of the ABA.  She is the former attorney with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and the former director of the National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse (NCPCA). Prior to this work in the nonprofit sector, Professor Leary was a prosecutor focusing on crimes against women and children. Professor Graw Leary's scholarship examines the intersection of technology, criminal law, and exploitation.  She focuses on areas of exploitation and abuse of women, children, and “vulnerable peoples,” with a specific emphasis on human trafficking. Her recent publications include The Failed Experiment of §230 of the Communications Decency Act:  How It Facilitates Exploitation and How It Must Be Reformed and Is the #MeToo Movement for Real? Implications for Jurors’ Biases in Sexual Assault Cases. Prof. Graw Leary has testified before Congress numerous times and provides commentary for media outlets including, the New York Times, C-Span National Journal, National Public Radio, The Legal Times, Wall Street Journal Online, BBC, Reuters, and the Washington Post.
