Sara Poore is the Executive Director of the Delaware Criminal Justice Council, where she leads statewide efforts to combat human trafficking and strengthen policy, advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration. A dedicated anti-trafficking leader, she works at the intersection of legislation, community engagement, and survivor-centered advocacy to ensure systems better protect vulnerable populations.

Previously, Sara served as a Legislative Assistant for the State of Delaware, supporting policymakers in advancing public policy and government initiatives. Her background also includes leadership roles in social services and healthcare, where she worked directly with vulnerable populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities and survivors in need of care and support.

Sara’s career is rooted in a commitment to compassion-driven leadership and meaningful change. She brings both policy expertise and lived experience working alongside impacted communities, with a focus on accountability, prevention, and empowering survivors.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from Wilmington University, where she also completed a Human Trafficking Awareness Certification.
