Sharon Walker Epps is the Chief Executive Officer of The Rowan Center, where she leads efforts to support survivors of sexual violence and advance prevention through community education, advocacy, and direct services. Under her leadership, the organization serves more than 400,000 residents across lower Fairfield County, providing crisis counseling, legal and medical accompaniment, and prevention education to over 20,000 individuals each year.

A longtime leader within the organization, Sharon joined The Rowan Center’s Board of Directors in 2018, serving as Board Secretary and later as Board Chair from 2020 to 2024. During this time, she helped guide a period of significant growth, including a rebrand, expanded services, and a budget that more than doubled. She also led strategic marketing efforts that strengthened partnerships and increased community engagement.

In 2024, Sharon joined the staff as Chief Operating Officer, where she supported the development of the trauma recovery clinic and expanded the organization’s reach through innovative initiatives. She was appointed CEO in 2025, bringing a deep commitment to survivor-centered advocacy and a clear vision for the future.

Sharon holds a degree in Economics from Hamilton College and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
