Dawn Diaz is deeply committed to women’s advocacy, focusing on supporting survivors of sexual exploitation through outreach, mentorship, and resource development. She has worked with local service providers to expand access to counseling, job training, and safe housing, and has helped raise funds and awareness to strengthen programs that empower women to rebuild their lives.
Dawn earned a BA in Accounting from Siena College, became a CPA immediately after graduation, and joined Coopers & Lybrand. She later served as Controller for a local builder before moving into internal audit leadership — Director of Internal Audit at Cablevision Industries, Assistant Director of Internal Audit at Time Warner, and concluding her career as Director of Internal Audit at Ernst & Young.
Dawn served as Treasurer and Development Chair of the Women’s Right Information Center, where she received the Phoebe Seham Award for her commitment to helping women, and as a board member of the Community Chest of Englewood, NJ. She has chaired major fundraising events for her sons’ schools from pre‑K through high school and is currently the Patient Advocate on the board of the Cold Agglutinin Disease Foundation.
