Massachusetts
In Massachusetts, all aspects of the sex trade — whether selling sex, buying sex, promoting it, or profiting from it—are completely illegal. Massachusetts law treats both buying and selling sex the same, meaning a person can be charged with the same crime whether they're purchasing or providing sexual services (engaging in sexual conduct for a fee). However, there have been efforts to pass partial decriminalization (Survivor Model) laws in Massachusetts in recent years.
